This is home for BJ--or at least it has been for the past seven months. The USS Mount Vernon (LSD-39) is an amphibious transport ship capable of getting Marines ashore at any time and place. He also maintains a residence in the Mojave Desert of California. His residence is located aboard the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms.
